Snowboarding Basics
STEP 1: Look for a flat area or subtle incline. Keep clear of high-traffic areas. Rest your Snowboard on the snow, with the bindings facing down. This is to protected your board in place and keep it from escaping you.

STEP 2: Turn the board in your direction. If you’re on a gentle incline, attach the safety leash on your front leg to maintain the board from sliding down.
STEP 3: Begin buckling with your front foot. Position your foot in the front binding. Secure the ankle strap. Be sure that your heel is firmly in place.
STEP 4: After fastening the ankle strap, secure the toe strap. Make sure that it is tight enough without hurting your foot. Now that your front foot is buckled in, you can begin getting accustomed to your board.
STEP 5: Get up and move your snowboard down and up using your front foot. Do this continuously till you get comfortable with your board.
STEP 6: At this point, placed your free foot forward. This is the same as Step 5 but this time, the board is behind you. Move it up and down to adjust yourself to the snowboard.
Gearing up on the slope and getting familiar with your board are some of the fundamentals in learning how to ride. Getting comfortable with your snowboard and your set of gear in general will help you in executing various Snowboarding skills, techniques and maneuvers.
