Moving Up the Slope with your Snowboard

After attempting to skate/slide down the bunny slope, you will now have to learn how to move up the slope. It can be done by inching your way up while both feet are affixed to the snowboard. In this section, find out how to move up the slope with both feet strapped in:

STEP 1: Start off by locating a slope with very little human traffic as possible. Face uphill and with both your feet strapped in, presume a frog-like position – toe edge on the snow, knees bent, and your hands rooted on the ground similar to in the illustration.

STEP 2: Begin inch worming by means of moving your arms forward. After that, gradually stretch out your legs. Make sure your Snowboard remains to be on its heel edge. This position is quite tough to make because of the weight of your body and the inclination of the slope. Simply use your arms as well as your heel edge for support.
STEP 3: This step will require a substantial effort on your part. Without moving your arms, pull your legs toward you pretty much like what a frog’s hind legs do when it jumps. It will help if you elevate your Snowboard and use your knees to maneuver forward.

STEP 4: Repeat the steps until you have inched your way up the slope. If you can perform this move effectively, you then will not have a problem going up the slope with your Snowboard still mounted on your feet.

Moving up the slope in this manner is very tedious so you can only carry it out for brief distances only or if you can still endure doing the steps repeatedly.
