The Lib Tech Banana Magic BTX 2012 Snowboard.

This is a very stiff board and responsive board with fluctuating between 6 and 7 depending on the size you buy. The board features Enhanced BTX. Banana technology which enhances the reverse camber shape between the feet thereby making it very deep.

These features provide   excellent  power giving it maximum snap and scintillating  performance on powder. They also provide snappy exits out of the turns and allow you to really get the job done.

There are seven contact points along the length of the board and these get smaller towards the point of the board. They act in very much the same way as a serrated knife blade. The seven contact points are the points that are always in contact with the snow, but if you dig deep enough the whole board will be in contact with the snow.

The construction inside is a sandwich construction which runs fro tip to tail and rail to rail. It has a chromium gold core and this means that no trees were cut down in order to construct this board and in fact the board contributes to re-afforestation.

There is no traditional fiber glass as such in this board. The fiber used is processed from a naturally occurring volcanic rock called basalt. There is a large energy requirement for the production of fiberglass but basalt is there for the taking ans is one of the most commonly occurring rocks on the face of the planet.

Lib Tech have named this fiber ‘Horsepower”. This a very appropriate name as this is exactly what this fiber imparts to the board. The fiber makes the board very snappy and highly responsive. The fiber literally wraps the core to provide the horsepower needed to take it to the limit.

There is a special compound in the the sidewall which is another component of keeping the board snappy and responsive. The special sidewall keeps you away from all the nasty things that you might otherwise ding into and the double molecular compound also enhances the stiffness and therefore the responsiveness of the board.

Touching the rib core inside is the power transfer internal side wall which runs at 90 degrees tip to tail and again is a key component in providing the rigidity which is key to the responsiveness of the board.
